Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!
What if I don't love my Almost Perfect bag?
Everything from our Almost Perfect collection (excluding Mystery Box bundles) falls under our usual return policy. For more detailed information, visit our Returns page.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

I’m not a tote girl. Usually I find them heavy. The August is lightweight and roomy. The Plum color is, as usual, beautiful. Love the straps. The only thing that would make it better is a zipper. And an even bigger size. 🥰☺️💜👜 (pic shows my Orchid lg. Devan too)

I have a large classic tote, and while the large August is slightly smaller, I like it much better. Because of its shape, it stays closed all the time, and you can’t see the contents. It holds so much! Love the coldbrew color.

This tote is fabulous. I have the smaller size in Nutmeg and plan to buy a few more. I really like that the top is smaller than the bottom. This is a very comfortable carry.

I like a soft handle and the August Tote does not disappoint. I really loved the Market Tote and Montana, but both were a touch small. The August Tote in Midnight Owl is perfection. Great size (my laptop in a sleeve fits) and gorgeous soft leather I a beautiful, muted navy. I am obsessed. The drop is perfect for me (5’7” and XL/1X). I want one more at l ast, maybe Ruby??

I love this as my take-to-work laptop bag. My laptop just barely slides down in, and there’s room for normal daily things too. The color is sooo pretty. I wasn’t sure about mango, but it’s rather neutral.
I wasn’t sure about the August at first, but when I picked up this one in Night Owl, I knew I had to have it. The shoulder straps are the perfect length and the bag holds everything I need. I will be getting other colors!
I have a large August and I thought she was a perfect every day carry but the medium is the Goldilocks size for me. She holds everything perfectly with room for extra. The simplistic design of the August is absolute perfection, no zips or snaps and is so light even when fully loaded. The August is so comfortable on the shoulder and easily passes the “elbow test”. I love it!!
This is my new everyday work bag. It’s perfect to carry around my MacBook without the bulky tote look.
This is my 3rd August Tote! She holds a lot of stuff without feeling heavy or bulky. Cobalt is such a rich blue, she is joining Plum and Asheville.
