OUR FOUNDER'S STORY

A few words from PLG's creator, Curtis Matsko

"Ten years ago, we took a small piece of leather and created a leather journal... At that time, we could never have imagined the story that would unfold on the pages of the upcoming decade. With leather and a glimmer of hope, we began our story, but the people we met along the way defined the spirit of Portland Leather Goods. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank each and every one of you for taking this journey with us, and we are brimming with excitement over the road ahead!

PLG OVER THE YEARS

Take a Trip Down Memory Lane in Our 10-Year Timeline

FROM OUR TEAM

A closer look at the employee behind the design

Long before the 10-Year Tote became an icon, Joe helped shape one of its most recognizable details. While working a local maker’s market during PLG’s early Portland sewing days, a customer asked for a monogrammed tote. Joe improvised with a custom embossed leather patch, riveted onto the bag by hand, unknowingly starting a detail that would become part of the tote’s story for years to come.
Ten years later, he’s still part of the PLG team today.
