Full Grain: Meticulously sourced from the finest hides, this premium material boasts unique textures and character, showcasing nature's artistry at its best. As time passes, watch as its surface develops a unique patina, telling your personal journey through the years. Top Grain: Top-grain starts from the same premium zone of the hide but is lightly sanded and finished for a more uniform surface. That light correction softens and evens the face while keeping most of the strength you want. Takes pigment and protective finishes beautifully, which helps with colorfastness and stain resistance. Ages gracefully, especially when we keep the finish thin enough to let the leather breathe and break in.
We use top-grain when a smoother cosmetic is the goal—think color consistency across large panels—without walking away from the core strength you expect from a Portland bag.
Pebbled: Unlike most brands that use artificial stamping methods to create patterns, our pebbled leather is achieved through a natural tumbling process. The distinctive raised, pebble-shaped texture adds sophistication and makes a bold statement wherever you go. But it's not just about looks—pebbled leather is built to last. This top layer is then tanned, buffed, sanded, and dyed to create the signature velvety texture that defines high-quality suede. Naturally slouchy and pliable, suede leather ages gracefully, developing a rich patina that tells its own story over time. Most natural imperfections are gently smoothed away during production, while subtle traces—like healed veining and the soft, napped surface—are preserved to celebrate the leather’s unique character and charm.

The magnetic closure is strong enough that if tipped over, my belongings don’t fall out because it stays closed. And, I love that the strap is removable so I can use a different strap to match outfits. It’s small but mighty! I got the grizzly color mini crossbody with the mini Daisy wallet. They match perfectly and I love the color. The bag can hold a phone, wallet, and a few more small, miscellaneous items or a small tissue packet, for example. It also has this great little pouch on the inside that I found perfectly holds flat bills. I didn’t know I needed that! It’s light, and it’s the perfect size for what I need. The raw leather on the inside is a luxurious touch because it feels like a handmade item. The magnetic closure is sufficient, and the strap is long enough to use it as a crossbody, as advertised.

The Mini Metro crossbody is small and sleek on the outside but is very roomy on the inside for a small bag. The color Phoenix is absolutely beautiful too!
I love the metro mini because I use it as a wallet inside of my larger totes. It fits my phone (S26 Ultra) as well as cards, bills, and necessary items that I want to take with me without having to take my entire tote or larger purse.
